In the undulating landscape of the West Palatinate, you have to climb high to enjoy a wide view. Then it becomes all the more impressive. The numerous lookout towers and are always a good (stopover) destination on an excursion.
Hardly any region has been as competitive as the Palatinate in recent years. From the former several hundred castles, numerous stone testimonies have remained, many of which are worth a visit.

Whether the garden show and the Japanese garden in Kaiserslautern, the Strecktalpark in Pirmasens or the rose garden in Zweibrücken - numerous lovingly designed gardens and parks inspire visitors and invite you to linger.

The historical roots of our region go back a long way. The visible evidence of Celts & Romans clearly illustrates this, above all the impressive celtic facilities on the Donnersberg or the vicus in Eisenberg.
Gentle hills and rugged rocks, dense forests and lush meadows, romantic valleys and enchanted lakes. The West Palatinate is more diverse than some think. Some places are particularly striking.
Some places in the region are rather shy and hide from too many visitors. They are not always easy to find or can only be visited to a limited extent, which makes them even more attractive.
